Days before the Chicago Snowpocalypse of 2011, on the shores of Lake Michigan a music video featuring Star Trek, the Music of Smashmouth, and the barren landscape of a lonely heart was born.
It was 2011, and the Snowpocalypse of Chicago. -50 degrees wind chill and snow to the waist.
Charles Pearce and Producer Sam Sher made the most intelligent decision possible to kick it on the shores of Lake Michigan in a few tee shirts and an iPhone playing smash mouth on loop.
And magically the Star Trek Smashmouth hybrid video you never knew you needed was born. It was cold. So very very cold.
