Fight for 15 Music Video & Extended Media Campaign [2012 - 2013]

CHI - November 2012. I was brought in for a long-term editing contract with Stand Up! Chicago and their extended Fight for 15 campaign, now with national recognition for their efforts this social justice movement is gaining momentum. Emphasizing the need for a higher wage in fast-food and retail work, the campaign asks for a minimum of $15 an hour for these often impoverished employees.

The song ‘Fight For it’, is a standard bearer for the Fight for 15, and this music video was made as a complimentary supporting content.

As the editor I was also often provided with footage from events, trainings, and protests and asked to create cohesive visual narratives and match the current visual identity trends of the campaign as established by the graphic design teams. The work covered a huge expanse of projects. Including “live editing” for immediate online distribution during protest days, internal instructional campaign videos, and social media clips.
