Audi Quattro At Hotel Van Zant
ATX - February 2016. This was a great gig for my vintage lens set. I’ve long worked with manual lenses, and I’m proficient with my camera - so the challenging lighting conditions didn’t make me nervous. I did have to move quickly in the fading light, and I likely took twice as many shots to nail a moment than a faster more modern kit.
The Glitch Switch
ATX - October 2014. I’m still relatively new to the process behind glitching and deliberate destruction of image files, even if conceptually I’ve understood the artistic notion since the rise of computers.

Doug & Charlie’s Children OR a Green Screen Adventure in Directing During Editorial.

The Black Crowes (Almost) Last Show
The band is having fun and the audience is in to it. What more is necessary for a good show? Nothing really, and by that metric it's a successful night.
Tesla at House of Blues
Diesel screams electric tonight at House of Blues Chicago. Music legend powerhouse Tesla sets to take the stage for a night of panty dropping, head banging, Rock and Roll. Its been a long time since Tesla was a household name turning out wide airplay singles and music videos, but every level of the venue is packed to the seams with rabid fans dying for a taste triumphant.
Courtney Love at House of Blues
The real question is whether or not this is a show full of Gen X and Y burnouts seeking some revival of lost youth, or if Courtney Love's star power has successfully bridged the generation gap to a new audience looking at her with fresh eyes removed from 20 years of context and controversy.

The Making of The Mechanicals
CHI - September 2011. I’ve got a Nikon 5100, A stepladder, and a few lights from Home Depot. So what in the world do I do with it? I quit my retail job not too long ago, and I’m very much trying to figure out what comes next.
Color Grading Workshop
Color correction should always be one of the very last steps in the editing workflow. Color correction requires computer hardware to be consistently set to the same color space as the video equipment used to capture the footage
