Production Assistant For Hack Studios

ATX - September 2014. For several days I worked with the absolutely wonderful Hack Studios as a freelance Production Assistant on location in College Station for Texas A & M.

What a great time. I wish I had a chance to snap more pictures…but it’s not always appropriate, so I make do where I can.

The work was fast paced with an incredibly professional crew across 4 separate locations on the beautiful and sprawling campus. The production was oriented around 4 new promotional videos for the school showcasing some of the great stories coming out of the University.

In a classic Production Assistant role I was the first one up and on location, and last one to rest after carrying coffee, prepping craft service, and the client monitors in video village. Securing location releases, and talent releases I bounced around in whatever role was needed in the immediacy. Usually supporting the producers or making another run for Ice, Hack Studios made it easy and knows how to treat Production Assistants well.

I’ve only been in Austin a few months and this has been a fantastic way to break the ice and start my professional career here, Hack Studios is one of my first B2B relationships since moving to Texas and I hope to retain their business for years to come.
