Audi Quattro At Hotel Van Zant
I was hired not by Audi, not by HVZ…but by the event planning company. This function was set up as a PR event for Audi while visiting Austin and the planners wanted a good record of the space they set up.
This was a great gig for my vintage lens set. I’ve long worked with manual lenses, and I’m proficient with my camera - so the challenging lighting conditions didn’t make me nervous. I did have to move quickly in the fading light, and I likely took twice as many shots to nail a moment than a faster more modern kit.
But the colors my friends. The colors. Vintage lenses are extra work, but when they’re in a sweet spot - the looks they create are magic. This gallery has some of the best from that shoot.
